HOW DOES IT WORK?
A fully trained therapist will apply a specially designed high intensity light hand piece to your skin which is absorbed by targets in your skin. This is delivered during a very short period of time as high energy levels are required for each IPL treatment to be effective!
IPL hair reduction treatments are a safe, easy, painless and quick solution to unwanted hair and can be successfully used on the body or the face. Treatment cycle varies based on the individual conditions, but once you've completed your treatment cycle, you can look forward to a lifetime of smooth skin with only the occasional maintenance treatment.

Who is it suitable for?Your trained therapist will be able to determine your suitability for IPL treatments as a number of factors are taken into consideration People who have been tanning or have dark skin are more risk prone

Do IPL treatments hurt?No skin desensitisation is required You may feel a slight level of discomfort with each application which will reduce as the skin responds to the therapy

Are there any side effects?Short term effects are possible Redness can occur in treatment area which will fade away soon after

How many treatments are required and how often?This depends on your individual hair type. Most clients require 6-8 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results, however the hair will reduce and become finer with each treatment. For some, maintenance treatments may be required to achieve a lifetime of smooth skin. It is important to note that treatment may differ for each individual based on a range of factors. If you have any concerns please discuss these with your dermal therapist.

Is there any downtime for the treatment?Generally, you can return to normal activities straight after A minimum of 4 weeks is required before treated areas can be exposed to sunlight

What can I expect after my IPL sessions?Facial hair will take 7-10 days to fall out while body hair may take 2-3 weeks. Individual results will depend on your skin type, hair coarseness and natural growth cycle. Your clinician will be able to provide more information on what you can expect based on your individual situation during your consultation.

What's your cancellation policy?A text reminder is sent 48 hours prior to the appointment. The client must confirm or reschedule their appointment. If the client fails to respond in less than 48 hours to the appointment and is a 'late cancellation' or 'no show', they will incur a 50% charge of the service fee. This fee must be settled before the next appointment and will be emailed to the client.
